Frequently Asked Questions

What is a notary public?

A Notary Public is a public officer whose chief responsibility is to act as an impartial witness to the signing of documents, and to certify the facts of such acts in a notarial certificate. This means that a Notary Public is authorized to verify the identity of signers, witness the signing of important documents, and administer oaths or affirmations when necessary. Notaries in Florida are appointed by the Governor who grants them authorization to perform notarial acts throughout the state.

When would I need a Notary Public?

A notary public serves as a neutral third party, impartially verifying the identities of individuals involved in legal transactions or document signings. Their role is to ensure authenticity by witnessing the signing process and confirming the parties' identities without any bias. Some common documents that may require notarization include wills, trusts, deeds and mortgages, powers of attorney, medical directives or living wills, VIN verification, employment contracts and non-disclosure agreements to name a few.

What are your qualifications?

I hold specialized certifications that enhance my notarial services, including being a certified Remote Online Notary (RON). As an active member of the National Notary Association (NNA), I've completed extensive training to become a certified Notary Signing Agent (NSA) and undergone a thorough criminal background check. Additionally, I've obtained certification from the Loan Signing System (LSS) to further enhance my expertise in the field. I actively participate in various local notary groups, consistently engaging in ongoing learning opportunities and offering constructive feedback to fellow notaries.
